Social Enterprise Manager

at the premises of the Social Action Group Rathmore CLG, Rathmore, Co. Kerry.

Role:

The Social Action Group Rathmore CLG (SAG) is a registered charity. The role, as part of the wider SAG management team, is to deliver on company plans through identification, development, promotion and in particular the implementation of social enterprise projects that generate revenue as self-sustaining projects, including the management of the Pobal funded Community services Programme.

The SAG currently provides a diverse range of community services including a canteen service, social club and teenage disco, children’s birthday parties and camps, community gym and rental spaces to local community businesses and groups.

The role is based on a 37.5 hour week with some evening work required.

The Manager will report to the CEO.

Salary circa €40,000 dependent on qualifications & experience.

The ideal candidate will:

• Be social enterprise orientated with a passion for community enterprises
• Have experience and skills in at least one of the current key service areas such as in gym services, catering, event management, provision of youth activities, or have a social enterprise idea that they would propose to develop further
• Have experience managing staff and providing leadership to individuals and teams
• Have experience in financial administration and management
• Have good record keeping, writing and IT skills
• Have good problem solving and decision-making skills
• Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Be flexible and self-motivated with good collaborative team-working skills
