Erris Family & Community Support Centre is a community development organisation working to shape an inclusive, sustainable and independent community that is self-sufficient and provides a supportive environment to all those living in The Barony of Erris.
The Centre works from a combined model of family support and community development. 

Hours: 35 hours per week 

Contract Type: Short-term, temporary contract subject to successful probationary period

Salary: Commensurate with qualifications & experience and no less than € 42,666.00 per annum.

Start Date: Monday 26th August.

Criteria for the Position

Essential

  • A relevant third level qualification- Minimum Level 7 (or equivalent) in Community Development, Social Care, Family Support Practice, or a related field.
  • Experience in family support in a community-based setting.
  • Experience working though a community development approach.
  • Experience of project management in the community and voluntary sector.
  • Experience in supervising and supporting staff.
  • Experience of Strategic Planning.
  • Experience of Financial Management (including accessing funding).
  • Familiarity with Children First: National Guidance for the Protection and Welfare of Children (2011).
  • Experience of implementing good governance and best practice.
  • Excellent report writing skills.
  • Access to own transport with full driving licence

Desirable

  • Knowledge/ understanding of Meitheal National Practice Model.
  • Understanding of working in a rural operating environment.
  • Experience and skills in implementing community projects.
  • Experience of working collaboratively at an inter-agency level.
