The Daughters of Charity Community Services (DoCCS), located at 9 Henrietta Street, Dublin 1, is a community-based organisation providing a range of educational, training and social care services for children, young people and adults living in Dublin’s North Inner City. Our services are targeted to individuals and families experiencing socio-economic and educational disadvantage.

The Henrietta Senior Citizens Service of the Daughters of Charity Community Services provides in-house meals, recreational and educational activities in a day service and outreach activities and meals on wheels for older people in the Dublin 1/7 north inner city catchment area.

The particulars of the role are as follows:

Contract: This is a specific purpose contract

Hours of work: The successful candidate will work 27 hours per week, Monday to Friday, (10AM – 3PM).

Annual Leave: The annual leave for the position is 23 days, with an additional 2 service days which will be scheduled with the Manager of the Service.

Salary Range: €18,252 - €19,656

Key responsibilities:

  • Driving the mini bus
  • Assisting clients
  • Ensuring the safety of passengers
  • Maintaining the vehicle
  • Maintaining client records
  • Delivering meals on wheels
  • Assisting with social outings

The successful candidate must have have:

  • D1 Licence with no penalty points
  • Current drivers CPC
  • Excellent driving skills
  • An understanding of working people with mobility difficulties
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience providing transport within a community setting
