Working with YMCA Dublin

For over 175 years, YMCA Dublin has been empowering individuals, supporting families, and strengthening communities. We believe everyone should have the opportunity to belong to healthy, confident, secure, and connected communities.

When you join our team, you become part of this mission-driven legacy, delivering life-changing services to your community. At YMCA Dublin, you’ll:

  • Empower young people and support families.
  • Gain valuable experience, training, and career development.
  • Work in a supportive, purpose-driven team that values your contribution.
  • Be part of a trusted organisation expanding its impact across Dublin.

We’re hiring for a number of key roles:

Youth Support Worker, Aungier St, Dublin 2, Belmayne, Dublin 13

We are seeking a passionate and committed Youth Support Worker to help deliver YMCA Dublin’s dynamic and strengths-based youth and mentoring services. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people aged 12–19, supporting them to navigate challenges, build resilience, and thrive.

In this hands-on role, you will support the delivery of three core strands: one-to-one volunteer mentoring, in-school peer mentoring groups, and universal youth work. Working in close partnership with schools, families, and community services, you will champion trauma-informed, play-inspired approaches that foster connection, confidence, and personal growth.

Réidh Support Worker, Aungier St, Dublin 2

We are currently seeking a 15 hour per week Support Worker to join the Réidh team. This role will involve supporting participants, who are 16- 30 year old International Protection Applicants and Refugees in their group volunteering initiatives and leading social integration activities, including Community Connect—our Thursday evening social club—as well as other community engagement and social events designed to build connections and reduce isolation.

These roles offer unique opportunities to work directly with young people, creating inclusive, empowering environments where they feel heard, supported, and inspired. These roles are ideally suited to dynamic, trauma-informed professionals who want to be part of something new and impactful in growing communities.
