Edenmore Early Education Centre: Early Childhood Educator

We have a fantastic opportunity for an Early Childhood Educator to gain experience in our Centre. The position is full time permanent (subject to probation period) starting 29th August 2025
About our organisation
Edenmore Early Education Centre has been a leading provider of community-based education, care and family support services for children and families since first established in 1975.
We provide sessional and full-day early education and care to children from 2 – 6 years, Stay & Play groups and a variety of parenting supports and parenting programmes. Our Centre also has extra resources to support development such as Gross Motor Room, Sensory Room, Nurture Room and natural outdoor area.
We are a not-for-profit organisation. Our funders include Tusla Child and Family Agency and the Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth.
About the role
We are looking for an experienced Early Childhood Educator to join our team.
Working Hours and Conditions
- Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week.
- Salary negotiable (subject to experience)
- Daily non-contact time for curriculum planning and assessment of learning
- Support from on-site Pedagogical Leader
- Paid training and planning days
- 10 weeks paid annual leave
Qualification Requirements
- A minimum level 7 degree in Early Childhood Care and Education (or similar) essential
- Fluent English language
Experience
- Experience in an early childhood education and care setting
- Planning a programme of curriculum based on children’s interests, identity, and needs
- Working with children with additional needs
- Working in partnership with parents and families
Required Skills and Competencies
- Proven knowledge of the National Curriculum and Quality Frameworks, current regulations and legislations that relate to ECCE.
- Ability to build and maintain supportive and professional relationships
- An in-depth understanding of Child Protection policies and procedures
- Always Children First Child Protection Training
- Ability to use initiative as well as follow direction
Desirable:
- First Aid Training
- Manual Handling training
Contract:
Full time permanent contract (subject to probation period) 35 hours a week, Start date 29th August 2025
