Development Officer (30 hours per week)

This is a Fixed Term Contract ending 31st December 2024

Background 

Clare County Childcare Committee is one of 30 County and City Childcare Committees in Ireland, funded by the Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth. It is a support and advice agency for the Early Learning and Care, School Aged Childcare and Childminding Sector in the county. Applications are being sought from suitably qualified and experienced people for the role of Development Officer.

Eligibility criteria

  • A third level qualification (level 8), preferably in Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC).
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience of working in the ELC/SAC/Childminding sector.
  • Experience of delivering training.
  • Excellent knowledge of policy and practice in Early Years.
  • A good working knowledge of relevant Government funding programmes and the administration associated with these.
  • Excellent communication (both verbal and written) and organisational skills.
  • Competent IT skills.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • A strong ability to deal effectively with enquiries from the public.

Salary Scale Grade 5 - €48,089 - €57,572 (LSI2), pro rata
