Female Health Care Assistant

Female Health Care Assistant (HCA) (PA) required 
by a physically disabled woman in all aspects of daily living life to the fullest in Blanchardstown

A Personal Assistant Is:

“An individual contracted by a disabled person to work and enable him/her to have maximum freedom, choice and control over his/her human support needs.

Due to expending nature of the service Two new positions are available working hours can vary with a guaranteed minimum of 8 hours going up to 20+ hours. Including weekends, Additional relief hours can be available to cover holiday and sick leave etc. ongoing on the job training will be provided.

Location: To be able to reliably commute to: Dublin 15 area. 
Rate of Pay: will be discussed at interview

The successful candidates must have good spoken Fluent English as it’s a pre-requisite for the positions and is eligible to work in Ireland. They will receive a contract from a healthcare company and will report to, and receive direction from the individual receiving the service. As they self-direct manage their own support, in the workplace you will be answerable to nobody else during work time, hence the term Personal Assistant PA.

Duties and Responsibilities: including but not limited to-

  • Physical assistance with daily personal hygiene and grooming intimate requirements, basic cooking and basic meal preparation, assistance at home with basic exercise, household chores duties, routine general light house cleaning work, accompaniment to appointments, activities, visiting amenities, meetings, and social occasions / events to participate in leisure hobbies swimming, etc.;
  • Any other duties that may arise to facilitate the individual to live a positive, active vibrant life and being ably assisted to participate fully in their community.

What I Require: 

  • Please note these are not specialised care roles in short you will be an extension of my arms and legs. Proof of qualifications must be provided at interview
  • To have a minimum of 5 modules completed in QQI level 5 award in a health care or social care discipline a high standard of support is expected
  • Have up to date people patient moving and manual handling
  • Be willing to undergo Garda clearance vetting before commencement
