The National Youth Council of Ireland is seeking to recruit a Project Officer (part-time, 28 hours per week) to support the work of the North-South Youth Work Sector Practice Development Hub — a collaborative initiative between NYCI and the Education Authority Youth Service in Northern Ireland. This innovative partnership aims to strengthen youth work practice across the island of Ireland.

The Project Officer will play a central role in the development, coordination, and implementation of Hub activities.

This is a dynamic role that requires a strong track record in partnership working, experience in building and supporting practice networks, and the ability to maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders to foster collaborative sharing hubs. The ideal candidate will also have a solid understanding of the youth work sectors in both Ireland and Northern Ireland, along with strong organisation, management, facilitation, and interpersonal skills, and a passion for advancing youth work practice.
