Community Development Worker

The successful candidate must meet the criteria of the job specification including:

• Third Level Qualification in Community Development, Rural Development, Social Science, or other relevant discipline (level 8).
• A minimum of 2/3 years’ experience working in the community development sector in a similar role.
• Relevant experience of working in multidisciplinary and multi-agency environment
• Relevant experience in needs assessments, group work development, facilitation, and evaluation.
• Knowledge of current community development initiatives & community development work
• Knowledge of theory and practice of the principles of community development work.
• Fluent in English
• Capable of liaising with a wide variety of stakeholders and conveying detailed information to relevant parties in a timely manner.
• Full Driving license and access to own car

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT

Full-time position - working 35 hours per week. Flexibility will be required, some weekends and evenings. The role is a temporary fixed term contract until 31st of December 2026.

The salary for the role is €36,145- 53,852. The successful applicant will be offered a salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
