The Finglas Youth Resource Centre (FYRC) is a community-based Youth Service in Finglas. FYRC is an independent locally managed CLG with a Board of Management comprising of local community representatives and other service providers.

Youth Worker Full Time 35 hours
Finglas Youth Resource Centre is seeking a skilled, dynamic Youth Worker who will be responsible for developing and implementing a range of youth work programmes under our UBU target groups to meet the developmental needs of young people deemed to be at risk within the Finglas Community. Successful applicants will work within a large staff team and will have a role in supporting volunteers. The successful candidates will be required to work various shifts including evening, night, and weekend work. This post is funded through the UBU funding scheme.
Essential Qualification:
- An * NSETS recognised professionally endorsed qualification in Youth Work or Youth and Community Work is essential (*NSETS: North/South Education and Training Standards Community for Youth Work.)
Or - Have worked with young people for two years full time in a youth setting and have an equivalent professional Degree level qualification within the Education/Social Science/Youth Work or Community development field.
Salary: Department of Education salary scales will applies (based on experience)

Appointment will be subject to FYRC CLG receiving satisfactory Garda Vetting and reference checks. Shortlisting will apply and a panel will be formed for future appointments. This post is funded under the UBU (Your Place, Your Space) funding scheme. The nature of this post requires flexibility to cover the operational times of the service. This will involve scheduled evening, weekend, and residential work. If successful, candidates will be deemed a “Mandated Person” in accordance with the Children First Act 2015.
