We Are Human Too - Tender Invitation

Seeking Strategic Partner to Promote and Amplify We Are Human Too - unique opportunity to bring this important work to wider audiences in Ireland and internationally.

The Clare Leader Forum invites expressions of interest from individuals or teams to support the promotion and retailing of We Are Human Too — a powerful, publication by disabled people, for everyone, that spans over 100 years, elevates over 100 voices, exploring the history of States treatment of Disabled People, justice, the power of the movement, analysis of law and policy, through a human rights lens.

Role Summary:

We are seeking a committed and capable partner to:

• Develop and implement a strategy to promote the book
• Secure its inclusion in third-level curricula, university and public libraries
• Create opportunities for the Editor, co-production team and contributors to participate in literary festivals, public events, academic and advocacy platforms that include; human rights, Disabled People’s Movement, social justice, human history told from marginalised perspectives
• Explore opportunities for international promotion, including academic and cultural networks, translation, and diaspora engagement

Candidate Profile:

We welcome applications from individuals with:

• Lived experience and/or a demonstrable commitment to Disabled People’s rights and equality
• Skills and experience in communications, publishing, advocacy, or event coordination
• An understanding of co-production and inclusive practice
• A values-driven and collaborative working style
• Highly motivated

Terms:

The role is offered on a flexible basis, with a one-time contract fee of €1,500 and 20% commission on every 100 books sold. Support and reasonable accommodations provided by Clare Leader Forum.
