Cuidiú - Irish Childbirth Trust

Cuidiú means caring support in Irish. We are a voluntary parent-to-parent support group and our mission of 'information, education and support' encourages a confident, positive approach to Parenting, empowering parents to make informed choices about issues from infancy right up to adolescence.

We provide support services in Antenatal and Birth Preparation, Breastfeeding, Postnatal and Parenthood.

Domestic Violence Response

Domestic Violence Response is a rural based, community led project responding to the issue of domestic violence in Connemara.

Our aim is to identify and respond to the needs of women and children who are subjected to violence and abuse in the home.

Our work is prioritised under the following:

  • providing support to women and children who experience violence in the home
  • providing education and awareness work
  • campaigning and lobbying work.

Dublin Lesbian Line

Dublin Lesbian Line is an LBT inclusive service run by lesbian and bi-sexual women for women who are attracted to women, women questioning their sexuality, and their friends and families. Dublin Lesbian Line joined the LGBT Helplines in November 2010

Europa Donna Ireland

Europa Donna Ireland, The Irish Breast Cancer Campaign, is one of the 34 member countries of Europa Donna - The European Breast Cancer Coalition.

It is an advocacy group, which lobbies politicians and decision makers at local, national and European level.

Its main goals are to raise awareness about breast cancer and to campaign for equal access to the best possible diagnostic and treatment services for all women.

European Institute of Women's Health

The European Institute of Women's Health is a non-governmental organisation working to make the health and well being of women a priority for the European Commission and Member States of the European Union.

The Insitute is a registered charity.

Galway Rape Crisis Centre

Galway Rape Crisis Centre has been in operation since 1984.

We aim to provide a quality counselling and support service for survivors of sexual violence and abuse. We aim to work towards an end to cultural and societal tolerance of sexual violence and abuse. We work from a feminist philosophy.

i-Smile Ireland

i-Smile International (Ireland)  is a non-profit organisation set up to reduce isolation, improve confidence and increase participation of migrant women in mainstream society, enabling them enjoy the social, financial and legal inclusion they need to smile to a positive future.

Irish Countrywomen's Association

The objects of the Association are to bring women together in fellowship and through co-operative effort to develop and improve the standard of rural and urban life in Ireland having due regard for our Irish culture and to encourage the use of the Irish language in the affairs of Bantracht na Tuaithe.
