The Irish Heart Foundation is the only national voluntary organisation in Ireland working to reduce premature death and disability from heart disease and stroke through research, education and community service.

Irish Institute of Clinical Neuroscience

The Irish Institute of Clinical Neuroscience (IICN) aims to promote the academic clinical neurosciences in the Republic of Ireland and in Northern Ireland.

It organises academic meetings where teaching is carried out and where findings from neuroscience research are presented. It endorses research in neuroscience in Ireland and offers support for conducting research.

The membership of the IICN includes neuroscience clinicians and scientists working in the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland.

M.E. usually starts after a viral illness (hence it is sometimes called Post-Viral Fatigue Syndrome) and is recognised as a neurological condition by the World Health Organisation.

However, perhaps because it is a largely invisible illness with routine tests usually being normal (although research has found many subtle abnormalities), sufferers often face many difficulties getting appropriate support and treatment.

Established in 2002, Johnstown Therapy Centre provides Psychotherapy/Counselling, Art Psychotherapy, Supervision, Health Psychology, Mediation and Life Coaching as well as Holistic Therapies such as Clinical Hypnotherapy and Corporate Wellness . All of the therapists who work from the Centre are highly qualified and have a vast amount of experience in their field.

Mark Pollock Trust

For over a decade Mark Pollock was known as an inspiration, an adventure athlete competing in the world’s harshest environments despite becoming completely blind at the age of 22.On the night of the 2ndof July 2010 everything changed again. He fell from a second story window fracturing his skull, some ribs and breaking his back in a number of places leaving him paralysed from the waist down.
