Education

Irish Development Education Association (IDEA)

IDEA is an association of organisations and individuals involved in the provision, promotion or advancement of development education throughout the island of Ireland.

We have a vision of development education which is strong, credible and vibrant and impacts on all sectors of Irish society.

The Irish Development Education Association Mission is to:

Irish Group Relations Organisation (IGRO)

IGRO is a not-for-profit organisation that seeks to further the field of Group Relations in Ireland, as a way of understanding individuals, groups and organisations and of making sense of group and systems dynamics. Through experiential learning conferences and other activities, it explores issues of individual and professional leadership, authority and power within the context of economic, social and cultural change.

Irish Squash & Education Association

Mission:

Enrichment. Education. Equality. Significant learning through significant relationships.

With Squash as the catalyst, Squash Link, flagship programme of the Irish Squash & Education Association (ISEA), aims to support significant achievements in the lives of local school students through academic enrichment, health and lifestyle commitments, social and emotional responsibility, character development, life-long learning and leadership.

Background:

KCAT: Kilkenny Collective for Arts Talent

In its Art & Study Centre, KCAT runs a FETAC Level 2 art course for people with and without special needs and a studio for artists with special needs. KCAT regularly organises exhibitions and other events and collaborates on projects with other organisations.

Rather than integrating the one group into the other, the centre aims to create a new situation: an environment in which students from different backgrounds can work together as creative equals and in which life long learning is a possibility for everyone.
