Cork Steiner Kindergarten

Cork Steiner Kindergarten is a not for profit organization providing pre-school education for children aged 3 to 6. We aim to support families from different social backgrounds with a sliding scale fee structure and a free pre-school year for children under the ECCE scheme. We have an actively socially inclusive community development approach. We have recently relocated and are slowly integrating into our new community. The Glen in Cork city is at the centre of a rejuvenation project after many years of deprivation and lack of resources within the community.


YMCA is a cross denominational organisation committed to actively responding to local youth and community need.

Our aim is to work alongside young people to further their social, physical, and spiritual development through a range of challenging programmes and services.

County Limerick Childcare Committee

The County Limerick Childcare Committee was set up in 2000 to:

- co-ordinate childcare services
- increase childcare places;
- improve the quality of childcare in Co. Limerick.

Mission Statement:
To Promote the development of a co-ordinated, integrated, inclusive, strategic approach to the delivery of accessible, affordable, culturally appropriate, high quality childcare services that meet the overall developmental needs of children whilst supporting parents/guardians.


Cradle concentrates its efforts on assisting the children of Mostar. During the war it sent trucks of emergency aid on a regular basis.

Now in post war times Cradle is concerned with the rehabilitation of these children through cultural activities such a music, art etc.

Cradle relies heavily on support of individuals as well as companies and is pleased to hear from anyone who may be in a position to help with it's work, both financially and in kind.

Crooked House Theatre Company

Crooked House is a not-for-profit organisation that develops new work in collaboration with international partners (Royal National Theatre London, Teatro della Limonaia, Florence; Grupo Nanou, Ravenna).

They have premiered new work by leading and emerging international playwrights including Mark Ravenhill and Enda Walsh. The company is an ensemble of theatre makers, with an internationally recognised youth theatre company (called KILDARE YOUTH THEATRE) and a children's drama workshop.

Donnycarney Youth Project

The Donnycarney Youth Project strives to provide a safe and supportive learning environment for young people and adults in the community by promoting positive life choices.

We aim to respond to local needs in relation to young people and to those affected by drug use.


Down Syndrome Ireland

Down Syndrome Ireland, the national organisation of parents and guardians of people with Down syndrome, was established in 1971 to provide a support network at a time when the provision of services for people with disability was in its infancy.

Down Syndrome Ireland has a membership of over 3,000 family units and provides support to both the person with Down syndrome and their families.

Dún Laoghaire Rathdown County Childcare Committee

Dún Laoghaire Rathdown County Childcare Committee is one of 33 County Childcare Committees, which have been established throughout Ireland under the Equal Opportunities Childcare Programme.

Mission, Aims & Objectives
That a range of affordable and accessible childcare options are available and provided within the county, which are of a high quality and standard, are child centred and are appropriate to the individual needs of the child.


Early Childhood Ireland

Early Childhood Ireland has supported the development of early childhood care and education services in Ireland over the past 30 years. It is a member based organisation with members mainly involved in the provision of playgroups and day care services, both community and private.

The focus of the organisation's work has concentrated on training, advice and support, networking and lobbying to support members in the provision of quality services.


ECO-UNESCO is Irelands only environmental conservation organisation specifically for young people.

ECO-UNESCO's aims are:

  • to raise awareness, understanding and knowledge of our environment among young people.
  • to promote the protection and conservation of our environment among young people.
  • to promote the personal development of young people through practical environmental projects and activities.
  • to promote environmental education in young people.
