St. Vincent's Community Training Centre: QQI Level 4 Pathways to Employment
The aim of this programme is to provide unemployed Early School Leavers, aged between 16 to 21, with educational, practical and personal skills to maximise their independence at home, in the community and in the world of work. The programme will assist the learner to achieve a nationally recognised qualification, which will aid progression to further training and/or education and employment. St. Vincent’s CTC will support learners in achieving a QQI Level 4 Major Award in General Learning with a focus on Care in the Community (Childcare & Healthcare).
There is no charge to participate on this course however learners must be between the ages of 16 to 21 to be eligible for this programme. Learners aged 16 to 18 will receive a training allowance whilst in training. Learners aged 18 to 21 already in receipt of a social welfare payment when commencing the course, may also be entitled to a training allowance while attending. Other available supports include meals, travel and/or accommodation allowances, education support, counselling and family support.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
- Between the age of 16 and 21
- Applicants seeking entry to the programme must have achieved a minimum of a QQI level 3 Major award or its equivalent prior to entry to the programme.
- The programme will suit learners who have identified their career pathway and are seeking to further develop their key, employment related, transferable and vocational skills, knowledge and competence.
- Alternatively, applicants may have achieved the equivalent standard of Knowledge, skill and competence through relevant work experience

LEARNING OUTCOMES
