The Minister for Rural & Community Development has announced a further €50 million in funding under The Community Recognition Fund, to deliver projects over 2024- 2025. The Community Recognition Fund was first introduced last year to recognise the huge efforts made by communities in welcoming and supporting people coming to Ireland.
The Irish Human Rights and Equality Commission’s 2024-25 Human Rights and Equality Grant Scheme is now open and accepting applications until 3.00pm sharp, Thursday 18 April 2024. The purpose of the grants scheme is to support projects by civil society and trade unions that promote human rights and equality.
Funding announced by Rethink Ireland and the Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth is set to accelerate access and skills-building for people with disabilities, with a €3.5 million injection of funding for the sector to support projects.
The purpose of the Non-Mainstream Music Education Bursary Scheme is to provide support to established, smaller-scale, non-mainstream music education or community music initiatives with limited or no access to other forms of public funding, through a cash grant.
We aim to build on the powerful work taking place at community-level to address child poverty and nurture children’s potential with a grants programme of €1,000,000 in financial and non-financial supports.
