Saolta Training of Trainers Peace Building through Outdoor Education
This hybrid training is free and open to all adult and community educators across the island of Ireland to build their knowledge of, and capacity in, Global Citizenship Education. This Outdoor Summer Edition includes: 3 online sessions, 2 full Experiential Peacebuilding days (in the Wicklow and Mourne Mountains) and individualised coaching and mentoring sessions. This training is delivered by Saolta and is fully funded by Irish Aid.
All materials, resources, catering & refreshments are provided. Travel reimbursement is available
Participants must meet ALL of the following requirements:
- Be living on the island of Ireland.
- Be working in the Adult and Community Education Sector.
- Have a reasonable level of fitness.
- Be available to attend all of the training dates below.

Fundamentals of Global Citizenship Education (GCE), Peacebuilding and facilitation skills.
SATURDAY 21ST JUNE (LARAGH, COUNTY WICKLOW) 9:30- 5PM
Outdoor, experiential peacebuilding activities.
Hill walking, orienteering & navigation skills with Fia Mountaineering
THURSDAY 26TH JUNE (ONLINE) 6-8PM
Storytelling for Peace with additional guest speaker TBA
SATURDAY 28TH JUNE ( MOURNE MOUNTAINS, COUNTY DOWN) 9:30- 5PM
Mourne Mountains group hiking & navigation expedition with with Fia Mountaineering
1:1 COACHING & MENTORING (ONLINE) DATES TBC
