The aim of this programme is to provide unemployed Early School Leavers, aged between 16 to 21, with educational, practical and personal skills to maximise their independence at home, in the community and in the world of work. The programme will assist the learner to achieve a nationally recognised qualification, which will aid progression to further training and/or education and employment. St. Vincent’s CTC will support learners in achieving a QQI Level 3 Employability Skills certificate with a focus on retail skills

There is no charge to participate on this course however learners must be between the ages of 16 to 21. Learners may be entitled to a training allowance and travel allowance. Other supports include meals, education support, counselling and family support.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

• Between the age of 16 and 21
• You do not need any previous formal qualification.
• Ready to take on new tasks, can follow direction and are moving towards independent learning.
• No previous experience required. Suitable for individuals who wish to progress to employment or further education and training through the attainment of a QQI level 3 major award.
