New 'Ask me Anything' Page at Belong To

'Ask me Anything poster

We have launched the Belong To ‘Ask me Anything’ feature on our website, to answer all questions you might have, totally anonymously and free of charge – at any stage of your child’s journey as a member of the LGBTQ+ community.

We’re here to help.

Our experienced family support worker at Belong To will look at all questions submitted, and provide answers to a selection each week.

Your question will be submitted completely anonymously. We do not receive any information about the person submitting the question. If you include any personal information in your question, we won’t publish any of that in our response.

This feature will allow you, or anyone you know, to submit questions you might want to ask – and receive objective, factual information to support you navigating all stages of your child’s journey.

There are already some frequently asked questions and answers on the page now, so head to the website to check them out.

We have also launched the first video in a series with Dr Ray O'Neill, Assistant Professor in Psychotherapy in the School of Nursing, Psychotherapy and Community Health at DCU.

In conversation with wellbeing journalist Clare McKenna, Ray delves into the topic of how you can best support yourself when your child comes out as LGBTQ+, answering some important questions and offering practical advice.
