Irish Association for Palliative Care (IAPC)

The Irish Association for Palliative Care (IAPC) was established in 1993. It is a professional membership body. The members are multi-disciplinary professionals who work in or have a professional interest in the provision of palliative care. The Association provides opportunities for networking, education and research, and it is a recognised expert voice that seeks to influence and shape national policy for patient-centred, equitable and accessible palliative care for all who need it.

North Leitrim/West Cavan Carers Group

The North Leitrim West Cavan Carers Group represents members from Manorhamilton, Dowra, Kinlough, Blacklion, and everywhere in between. With the fantastic support of Community Connections and their Carers Programme, we meet regularly to discuss issues important to us, inform each other and share new-found resources, offer each other support, and take occasional breaks from the cares of Caring.

Saint Joseph’s Shankill

Saint Joseph’s is the only home in Ireland solely dedicated to dementia care in Ireland – where feelings matter most. 60 people call Saint Joseph’s their home and we also provide a weekly respite service and day care facility. We are a Quality of Life Butterfly Home awarded by Dementia Care Matters.

St Luke's Home

The staff at St Luke’s Home recognise their role as one of carer, facilitator, friend and advocate. We aim to create a Home like environment where all residents feel safe, secure and supported. Our objective is to enable the individual to attain their optimal potential for physical and mental health.
