This 2.5-year programme will be of interest to practising therapists and play therapists who wish to extend their existing qualification in counselling and psychotherapy to master’s level and work with children and adolescents. Monthly 3 block days (Usually Friday evenings, all day Saturday and all-day Sunday).
Applicants will hold a Level 8 Degree in the helping professions (counselling, psychotherapy, social care, social work, psychology, psych nursing, mental health, addiction etc.). Those who hold a Level 7 Degree in the helping professions, plus appropriate relevant work experience may be eligible to apply under RPL.
The aim of this minor Award is to provide participants with a basis on which to develop their therapeutic understanding of the theoretical and clinical considerations of substance use. This programme is delivered via Blended Learning with 2 days on site in our Tallaght Campus and 2 days online via Zoom.
Workshop include: Working with C & A in Bereavement and Loss, Trauma Informed Therapy, An Introduction to Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorder, The Overcoming Anxiety Process, CBT with Anxiety, Working with Survivors of Child Sexual Abuse and Introduction to Art Therapy.
