About Secret Street Tours:
Secret Street Tours is a non-profit social enterprise offering unique walking tours led by guides who have experienced homelessness. Our mission is to empower our guides with meaningful employment, income and training, and a platform to share their stories, while challenging stereotypes and promoting socially responsible tourism.
Role Purpose:
The Grants Writer will help secure key funding by identifying grant opportunities and preparing compelling, high-quality applications that demonstrate the impact of our work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research grant opportunities from trusts, foundations, public bodies, and other funding sources.
- Prepare, write, and submit clear and persuasive funding proposals.
- Maintain a pipeline and calendar of grant deadlines.
- Work closely with Senior Management to ensure funding applications align with organisational priorities.
- Track application outcomes and report on successes and learnings.
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in grant writing, fundraising or other relevant areas.
- Excellent written communication skills and proofreading skills.
- Commitment to Secret Street Tours’ mission and values.
