Background:

Loreto Playgroup CLG, a long-standing early years’ service in Springfield, Tallaght. We are currently inviting expressions of interest from individuals who are passionate about supporting children, families, and community development to join the voluntary Board of Directors.

We are seeking to strengthen and renew board as we look to the future. Loreto Playgroup provides a safe, nurturing, and inclusive early years environment, with a strong focus on play-based learning and family support.

We welcome individuals with experience in areas such as:

• Early childhood education and care
• Child protection and welfare
• Community development
• Human resources and people management
• Governance and compliance (Charities Regulator / company law)
• Finance, fundraising, or grant management
• Strategic planning or organisational development

We are particularly interested in candidates who share our values of inclusivity, care, and community empowerment. Previous board experience is welcome but not essential – induction and training will be provided.

This is a voluntary, unpaid position. The board meets approximately every 8 weeks, with occasional sub-committee work as needed.
