Exciting Opportunity for Young People in Cork City!

ArtéTeka Ltd is a social enterprise using arts and creativity for positive social change. Our ROUTES project offers a free course and opportunity to contribute to a new tourism app for the city.

Are you between 15 and 23? Would you like to learn more about Cork, its nature and how you can help the city thrive? Come join our new workshop!

When: every Tuesday from 17th June to 22nd July from 14:30-16:00.

Where: The Glen Resource and Sports Centre, Glen Avenue, The Glen, T23 DH95.

You will develop the skills to help us create "ROUTES", an app to help people discover Cork sustainably.

What you will learn?

• How humans and nature have influenced each other throughout history.
• How we are fighting climate change in different parts of Europe.
• Ways to come up with creative solutions to problems posed by climate change.

What else is going to happen?

• You will meet likeminded young people interested in climate change solutions and the natural environment.
• You will have the opportunity to travel for free to Brussels and present the app to the European Parliament.
• You will have a lot of fun and help us create the most innovative app in Ireland!

Eligibility:

• Ages 15-23
• Lived experience of barriers or challenges due to protected characteristics, economic background or geographic location. Please get in touch if you are unsure about this!
• Resident in Ireland.
• Commitment to attend sessions to the best of your ability.
