(19th–25th May)

To mark National Volunteering Week, Roscommon Volunteer Centre is delighted to host a free workshop for community organisations that rely on the power of volunteers to achieve their mission.

Join us as we explore the purpose and value of developing a dedicated volunteer strategy for your organisation. This session will help you harness the potential of social capital and guide you in empowering your team and community through effective volunteer engagement.

What to Expect:

  • Learn how a strategic approach to volunteering can strengthen your organisation.
  • Discover how to empower volunteers to meet both personal and community needs.
  • Gain practical support and direction in creating a tailored volunteering strategy.

Volunteers are the backbone of community life in Roscommon. Strong volunteer engagement not only helps organisations thrive but also builds trust, strengthens social networks, and fosters a sense of belonging — all vital elements of a resilient community.

“Volunteering is at the very core of being human. No one has made it through life without someone else's help.” – Heather French Henry
