Volunteer Opportunity – Dispatcher (Remote Role)
Are you a calm, compassionate communicator with strong English skills and a heart for supporting families through grief?
NILMDTS Ireland (Now I lay me down to sleep) is seeking dedicated Volunteer Dispatchers to help us provide the gift of remembrance photography to bereaved families across the country. This is a remote, flexible role where you can make a profound difference—right from home.
About the Role:
As a Volunteer Dispatcher, you will be the first point of contact for hospital staff or grieving families requesting our services.
You will:
- Answer and respond to incoming calls compassionately and professionally
- Log session requests using our internal systems
- Reach out to our network of volunteer photographers to coordinate and arrange sessions
- Communicate updates clearly and promptly with relevant parties
- This role is essential in helping us respond quickly and sensitively to families in need.
Role Details:
- Fully remote position
- Minimum commitment: 4 hours per week
- Volunteers rotate on a schedule to ensure coverage
- Strong spoken and written English required
- Full training and ongoing support provided
