Hugh’s House appoints Robbie Donnelly as Fundraising & Marketing Administrator

Ade Stack Announces the Appointment of Robbie Donnelly as Fundraising and Marketing Administrator at Hugh’s House

Hugh’s House, a charity that provides free accommodation to families whose children are receiving long-term or critical care in Dublin hospitals, is proud to announce the appointment of Robbie Donnelly as its new Fundraising and Marketing Administrator.

Hugh’s House was founded in memory of Baby Hugh and offers families from across Ireland a home away from home while their child receives treatment at hospitals including Temple Street and the Rotunda. With two houses on Belvedere Place in Dublin, Hugh’s House provides more than 5,000 free nights of accommodation each year, along with compassion, dignity, and a sense of community during times of great uncertainty.

Robbie Donnelly’s appointment is deeply meaningful—not only because of his professional achievements, but because of his personal journey. Robbie and his partner stayed in Hugh’s House for two and a half years while their son, Henry, received ongoing treatment at Temple Street. This experience gives him a unique understanding of what families face and what Hugh’s House means to those who walk through its doors.

“Robbie has lived this story,” said Ade Stack, founder of Hugh’s House. “He knows what it means to have a space where you can breathe, sleep, cry, and hope—all just steps away from your child’s hospital bed. His dedication to helping other families feel supported, seen, and cared for makes him the perfect person for this role.”

Robbie is a dedicated father and advocate for inclusion, family support, and the rights of children with additional needs.

“To now work for the place that carried me and my family through some of our hardest days is incredibly humbling,” said Robbie. “I know what it feels like to arrive at Hugh’s House scared and exhausted—and what it means to find warmth, kindness, and understanding. I want to make sure every family who needs this place knows it’s here for them.”

Robbie’s appointment signals a new chapter for Hugh’s House as it grows its impact, enhances community engagement, and strengthens the fundraising support needed to keep its doors open—free of charge—for families in crisis.

Robbie can be contacted via email at help@hughshouse.ie or on 085 8551597.
