Meningitis Trust's mission is three fold:

SUPPORT - offering a wide range of support for people affected by meningitis/ meningococcal septicaemia with a new 24 hour Freephone helpline manned by nurses on
1800 523 196
- offering facts, information, literature and support to people concerned about meningitis and meningococcal disease.

Home Visits - support visits to people in their own home following a direct experience of meningitis/ meningococcal septicaemia.

Music Network

Music Network is Ireland's national music development organisation, founded in 1986 by the Arts Council/An Chomhairle Ealaíon to develop classical, jazz and traditional Irish music nationwide.

Music Network is designed to give everyone in Ireland access to musical activity of the highest quality regardless of geographical location, economic or educational disadvantage, disability, age, or lack of any previous musical experience.


Music Together

Music Together is a newly established voluntary group aiming to provide learner musicians who have a disability with an opportunity to perform in the wider community.

Music Together was set up in response to create opportunities for physically disabled people wishing to participate in high-quality creative activity in music and the performing arts.

NARIC Ireland

Hosted by QQI, NARIC Ireland provides free advice on the recognition of foreign qualifications in Ireland.    

The NARIC Ireland qualifications database has details of almost 1200 qualifications from over 140 countries.  The information we provide is particularly relevant to Registrars, Admissions Officers, International Officers and Career Office staff dealing with foreign applications for entry into education and training programmes in Ireland.

The National Adult Literacy Agency is an independent charity committed to being the voice of adult literacy in Ireland, and with our partners, influence policy and practice to support people in developing their literacy (mission).

Our objectives
We have three objectives.

National Learning Network

National Learning Network provides training and specialist support to people who, for a variety of reasons, may find it difficult to gain employment. Whatever your circumstances – whether you are long term unemployed, have an illness or a disability – National Learning Network can help you. 

As Ireland's largest non-governmental education and training organisation, we offer over 70 different training courses from art and cookery to computer and business skills in centres across the country. So, whatever your interests, we have the course for you!

Northern Visions/NvTv

Northern Visions is a media centre in Belfast offering training, access and media production in radio, television, film and video.

The provision of skilled support services, both people and technical, realises high quality programming and offers opportunities to people marginalised by main stream media or denied self and/or collective expression.

Members of  Northern Visions have been involved in community based media and arts projects since 1972 and were amongst the first to initiate community video projects in Ireland.

NUS-USI Student Movement

The National Union of Students-Union of Students in Ireland (NUS-USI) was established in 1972 under a unique arrangement where both the British and Irish national student unions, National Union of Students(NUS) and Union of Students in Ireland(USI) respectively, jointly organised in Northern Ireland to promote student unity across the sectarian divide.
