New MIPEX 2024 report show setbacks for migrant inclusion in Ireland

Ireland’s once-promising trajectory on migrant integration has reversed, according to the newly released Migrant Integration Policy Index (MIPEX) 2024. The country’s score has dropped by 5 points compared to previous years, reflecting the absence of a new national integration strategy following the expiry of the 2017 Migrant Integration Strategy.

'Before Damage is Done' campaign encourages blood pressure check

High blood pressure is blood pressure that is consistently higher than normal. The medical term for high blood pressure is hypertension. The ideal blood pressure is less than 120/70. For most people, high blood pressure is 140/90 or more. This will be lower if you have other conditions like diabetes or kidney disease or if you’ve had a stroke or already have heart disease.
