About Us
Gerri’s Place is a new non-profit organisation dedicated to providing affordable wellbeing breaks for individuals experiencing mild depression, anxiety, stress, or burnout. We offer a safe, supportive space for people to focus on their emotional and mental wellbeing through access to therapeutic activities and nature-based experiences. We believe that early intervention is key to preventing more serious mental health issues, and we are building a unique retreat model to support this.
The Role
We are looking for an experienced Digital Marketeer and Content Manager (preferably with design skills) to join our team on a voluntary basis. You will play a key role in shaping and delivering our digital presence, helping us connect with our audience and raise awareness of our mission.
Working alongside another volunteer and the founder, you’ll be responsible for managing our website and social media channels, supporting fundraising campaigns, and creating engaging, mission-aligned content.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage an editorial calendar across digital channels
- Create, schedule, and publish content for social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn)
- Update and maintain the organisation’s website (e.g., WordPress, Wix or similar)
- Design marketing assets and visuals for campaigns (using Canva or similar)
- Write compelling content, including blog posts, email newsletters, and campaign materials
- Support the creation and delivery of fundraising and awareness campaigns
- Analyse performance metrics and provide insights for improvement
About You
- Experience in digital marketing, content creation, or social media management
- Strong writing and editing skills, with a good eye for storytelling and tone
- Proficiency with design tools such as Canva, Adobe Express, or similar
- Comfortable managing websites (basic CMS experience is sufficient)
- Ability to work independently and manage your time effectively
- Passion for mental wellbeing, social impact, and supporting underserved communities
- Experience in the non-profit or mental health sectors is a plus
Time Commitment
Flexible and to be agreed with the volunteer. Estimated at 4–6 hours per week, depending on your availability and involvement.
