Join Galway Rape Crisis Centre Psychological Support Team – Make a Real Difference!

GRCC is now recruiting volunteers (aged 25+) to support survivors of sexual assault and rape through our 24/7 Psychological Support Team in a support capacity at the Sexual Assault Treatment Unit (SATU), Galway.

What We Offer:

• Comprehensive 10-day training carried out over 5 weekends (Aug 9 – Oct 12, 2025, 9am–4pm)
• Monthly supervision & ongoing support
• Out-of-pocket expenses covered during cases
• A chance to be part of real change

Who We’re Looking For:

• Empathic, non-judgemental, and committed individuals
• 25+ years of age
• Able to attend 100% of training & 10hrs personal therapy
• Based within 40 mins of Galway City
• Available 3x/month (flexible roster) for a 2-year commitment

Selection Includes:

• Online application
• Interview & Garda vetting
• 60 hours training + 3-month shadowing period
