National Disability Authority: Call for Participants for Research - End of Wardship

A call for participants for research regarding the end of Wardship

The National Disability Authority is undertaking research on the end of wardship and the transition to the decision support service. The research will examine both the system and individual experience of the transition. The study has gone through a rigorous ethical approval process and has secured ethical approval and a consent declaration from the Health Research Consent Declaration Committee.

We are seeking to recruit people who are wards of court, their committees and other stakeholders to participate in the study. We start with the presumption that all participants have capacity to provide informed consent. We only engage with committees after meeting the person who is a ward of court and if possible ascertaining their view regarding participation in the research.

You can find out more by reading the Participant Information Leaflet. If you are interested in taking part you can email wardsresearch@nda.ie, call us at 087 671 2376 or send us an ISL video message.
