Terenure Enterprise Centre

The primary objective of Terenure Enterprise Centre is to foster entrepreneurship and employment in the local community. This is achieved through the provision of affordable workspace for start-up enterprises together with all necessary ancillary supports including enterprise development and mentoring services, conference room hire and state of the art computer training facilities.

The Wheel

The Wheel's fundamental purpose is to assist in developing the Community and Voluntary Sector so that it becomes for itself a powerful voice for change.

It does this by:

  • Providing networking opportunities
  • Providing information to further the aims and objectives of participants within the Sector
  • Assisting in the debate on Civil Society
  • Espousing the values and dynamism of Volunteerism
  • Promoting and supporting the role of the Spokes in achieving their objectives

Victim Assistance

Victim Assistance is a voluntary organisation founded in 2005, that offers a range of services designed to assist victims and those that have experienced a traumatic incident, in coping with the effects of crime and trauma. Our service is also available to victim’s family members. We work closely with in association with the various Garda Victim Services offices throughout the country along with other charities/organisations to provide confidential support to victims 

All our volunteers are fully trained and are Garda Vetted. 

Voluntary Arts Ireland

Voluntary Arts Ireland is a charity working across Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland to promote participation in arts and crafts.

Our mission is to promote and support participation in arts and crafts as a route to personal development, community cohesion, social regeneration and fun.

Voluntary Service International (VSI)

Voluntary Service International (VSI) is the Irish branch of Service Civil International (SCI), a world-wide movement working for peace and international understanding through the medium of voluntary work, international exchanges and awareness programmes.

VSI was founded in 1965 after several projects in the years before. Since then VSI has undertaken a wide variety of voluntary and community work throughout Ireland and has sent volunteers to similar projects in over 50 countries of the world.

Volunteer Abroad

Volunteer Abroad provides opportunities for Irish residents to work on community-based projects in several developing countries. This programme is open to people over the age of 18 who are motivated and have a desire to learn.

Volunteer Abroad is run by EIL Intercultural Learning who are a non-profit organisation that aim to promote global understanding.

Volunteer Ireland is the national volunteer development organisation and a support body for all local Volunteer Centres and Volunteering Information Services in Ireland. Our goal is to make sure that everyone who wants to volunteer, can volunteer.

We aim to provide a free, high quality volunteer placement service in a friendly and professional manner where volunteering is the focus of our work.

We also offer professional support, advice and training to organisations around their volunteering needs so that they can achieve best practice principles in volunteer management.

Volunteering Options Programme (Comhlámh)

Volunteering Options programme (set up by Comhlámh in 2004 and funded by Development Cooperation Ireland) was established in response to the growing interest among the Irish public in volunteering overseas in developing countries for short periods of anything up to a year. Comhlámh has provided advice and orientation for people interested in overseas development work for over 30 years.

In recent times, we have seen an increasing demand for our services from people who are interested in shorter term volunteering.


We are leaders in a movement for change, empowering people with disabilities to live self-determined lives in an equal and inclusive society. We provide a holistic service that is conducive to the growth and development of each individual.

The values of the organisation are :
