Invitation to Tender for Evaluation of Dublin City Universities Access Service Step up in STEM programme for Transition Year students. 

The Step up in STEM programme began in late 2021 and is an initiative by DCU’s Access Service and the DCU Educational Trust (DCUET) to address persistent underrepresentation in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) education, occupations, and careers amongst communities with of low third level progression in North Dublin. This initiative works with Transition Year students in local DEIS schools.

In 2021 the programme secured two-year funding from J.P Morgan, for an initial pilot year from September 2021  to May 2022 with four schools and a full rollout from September 2022 to May 2023 with 21 schools.  

A full-time Programme Coordinator manages the day to day operations of the programme, and it is envisaged that the assigned consultant will work closely with the Coordinator over an 18  month period.


The contract for this piece of work will cover the period February to August 2023 inclusive (start date to be confirmed by mutual agreement).
