Ballyfermot Chapelizod Partnership CLG: Invitation to Tender
Invitation to tender for health needs analysis of older people in the community of Dublin 10 and Chapelizod
The Ballyfermot Chapelizod Partnership (BCP) acts as an advocate on behalf of the community of Dublin 10 and Chapelizod to enhance the social and economic development of the area, thereby increasing education, employment and life options for local people. It identifies and co-ordinates actions which tackle social exclusion and marginalisation through consultation with local community groups, statutory agencies, local employers and trade union representatives. It also provides specialised employment and adult guidance services.
Through outreach work undertaken in recent months by staff of BCP, many older residents have highlighted a wide variety of new or pre-existing physical and mental health needs that have been exacerbated by Covid 19 restrictions. Concerns were raised about the lack of local service provision available to address these needs, as well as difficulties in accessing existing services.
A community health and wellbeing needs assessment is required to describe the state of health of local older people in Ballyfermot, enables the identification of the major risk factors and causes of ill health and enables the identification of the actions needed to address these.
BCP invites a tender for the research to be submitted by 28th May 2021. The value of the tender is a maximum of €9,000 including VAT.
