Limerick Social Service Council CLG aims to promote the dignity and growth of individuals, families and groups in the Limerick city and county area. The work of the Centre is carried out by a dedicated team of over 60 staff, through a range of individual services ranging from support for pre-school children to elderly people.

Applications are invited for the following role:

Relationships and Sexual Health Project Worker

(Full-time Post; 37.5 hours/week)

The Relationships and Sexual Health Project Worker will work as part of the Child and Family Service to provide one to one and group support for parents of teenagers and young people in the areas of positive relationships and positive parenting, communication and sexual health.

Applicants for this post must have:

  • Relevant and recognised qualification (Minimum Level 7) in Social Work, Social Care or other related discipline
  • Post Qualification experience of working with vulnerable young people/families and diverse backgrounds
  • Be a highly motivated, proactive individual with excellent communication and inter-personal skills
  • Have a strong understanding of Tusla’s Children First and a commitment to working to ensure the safety of children
  • Experience of facilitating groups
  • Ability to engage and build positive relationships with parents/families and young people
  • Hold a full and clean Driving License and use of a car
  • Experience of working in the areas of sexual health/healthy relationships is desirable

  • The Post is subject to 6 months’ probation, Garda Vetting, two written references and continued funding.
