Applications are invited for the post of

Community Development Worker

16 Hrs per week.

This person will work as part of a team to support the implementation of the of the Shannon Family Resource Centre Workplan.

The ideal candidate should have the following skills & experience

  • An understanding of equality and social inclusion
  • Knowledge and experience of supporting families in a community based setting.
  • At least 3 years experience of working with groups who experience exclusion in a paid and or voluntary capacity
  • Proven ability to liaise with voluntary, community & statutory agencies
  • Relevant 3rd level qualification
  • Good group work & facilitation skills
  • Report writing & I.T. Skills
  • Experience identifying/sourcing funding opportunities and completing funding applications
  • Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
  • Access to own transport
