Education Officer with the Ballyfermot Chapelizod Partnership

Ballyfermot Chapelizod Partnership is currently seeking to appoint to our team an Education Officer with a passion for designing and implementing projects to combat educational disadvantage and supporting children, young people, parents, and families to reach their potential in terms of education and lifelong learning.

The successful candidates will have a clear understanding of supporting individuals, families and communities experiencing disadvantage and marginalisation to improve their educational outcomes through the provision of supports in home, school, and community settings. The role is particularly focused on supporting pre-school and school aged children and young people to reach their potential.

The successful candidate will have a relevant third level qualification combined with an enthusiasm for lifelong learning and will have a broad understanding of the range of issues which can impact on educational attainment, particularly in communities facing difficult socio-economic circumstances. Applications from candidates with prior experience of working with the education or community sectors are particularly welcome. The successful candidate will be a self-starter with a strong ability to work on their own initiative, but to be equally able to work as part of a team and to incorporate feedback and consultation in their everyday work.

The successful candidate will require excellent interpersonal skills and will be engaged in developing collaborative relationships with a wide cohort of education stakeholders. They will be aware of the social environments of D10 area of Dublin as well as be conscious of the additional requirements associated with working with statutory agencies and the protection of public funds. They will be required to understand, accept, and promote the social inclusion ethos of the Company as well as its remit to deliver the highest possible standard of service to its clients and the local community.
