WE ARE CURRENTLY RECRUITING FOR THE FOLLOWING POSITIONS

Post: Centre Manager

Contract: Specified Purpose, Full- Time (39 Hours per Week, Maternity Leave Cover)
Location: Kilcummin Residential Services

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and passionate health or social care professional or equivalent. Your role will be in the leadership, management and development of services supporting adults with an Intellectual Disability. You will be responsible for the organisation and allocation of resources, for the successful implementation of the Association’s policies and the day to day management of the Service.

Summary of duties and responsibilities:

  • Support the overall day-to-day management of the Service.
  • Responsible for effectively leading, motivating and supervising the staff team.
  • Responsible for effectively managing the available resources, within the allocated budget in consultation with the Assistant Director of Services.
  • To support staff to train and upskill in models appropriate to ID/Autism Services.
  • Responsible for ensuring the provision of a person centred service to those supported by KPFA.
  • To be the key communicator to all stakeholders, i.e. staff, residents, management, family and other Service providers.
  • To develop relationships and linkages with community groups and other disability agencies.
  • To ensure that all staff work in a co-ordinated manner and in the best interests of each person.
  • To act as the Person In Charge in accordance with HIQA Regulations.

Essential Criteria:

  • A relevant recognised Health/Nursing or Social Care Qualification or equivalent.
  • At least 3 years’ relevant experience in an operational management capacity, which must include the supervision of staff & volunteers.
  • Management Qualification is essential.
  • An excellent knowledge of statutory regulations, standards, role of person in charge and Health Act 2007.
  • A proven ability to lead and support teams.
  • Experience of working with people with a range of high support needs to include aging, dementia and behaviours of concern.
  • Experience in and a commitment to promoting community presence and ability to demonstrate problem solving skills.
  • A full drivers licence with access to a car insured for business purposes and must be willing to drive Association vehicles is essential.

Post: Social Care Worker

Contract: Permanent, Part-Time (21.37 hours per week, includes sleepovers and weekend work)
Location: Valentia Residential Service

*Additional relief hours also available across our services Countywide*

The Role:

  • To facilitate and implement a person-centred approach for our individuals appropriate to their wishes and goals.
  • To promote and protect the rights of the people we support in a manner that respects their dignity, right to make choices and their privacy.
  • To actively seek new interests and opportunities for the people we support to develop meaningful roles in their Communities.
  • To ensure the overall wellbeing of the people we support in all areas of their lives including health and personal care.
  • To assist in the teaching of life skills in cooking, budgeting, cleaning & building confidence.

Essential Criteria:

  • BA in Applied Social Care or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience of working in a care delivery capacity, preferably within a disability service.
  • A passion for promoting and empowering those you support.
  • An excellent knowledge of the HIQA regulations and standards.
  • A full drivers licence with access to a car insured for business purposes and must be willing to drive Association vehicles is essential.
