WE ARE CURRENTLY RECRUITING FOR THE FOLLOWING POSITIONS

Post: Centre Manager

Contract: Permanent – Full-Time ( 39 hours per week)
Location: Glebe Lodge Service

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and passionate nursing professional. Your role will be in the leadership, management and development of services supporting adults with an Intellectual Disability in a nursing led service. You will be responsible for the organisation and allocation of resources, for the successful implementation of the Association’s policies and the day to day management of the Centre.

Essential Criteria:

  • ABA Registered Nurse ideally (RNID)
  • At least 5 years’ relevant experience in an operational management capacity, which must include the supervision of staff & volunteers
  • Management Qualification essential
  • An excellent knowledge of statutory regulations, standards, role of person in charge and Health Act 2007
  • A proven ability to lead and support teams
  • Experience of working with people with range of high support needs to include aging, dementia and behaviours of concern
  • Experience in and commitment to promoting community presence
  • Experience in and a commitment to promoting community presence to demonstrate problem solving skills
  • A full drivers licence with access to a car insured for business purposes and must be willing to drive Association vehicles.

Post: Nurse

Contract: Permanent, Part-Time (38.5 hrs per week - May also consider 2 x 19.25hrs posts)
Location: Rathmore Residential Service

Post: Nurse

Contract: Fixed Term , Relief (19.5 hrs per week)
Location: Glebe Lodge Service

Rosters for Rathmore and Glebe include day/night and weekend duty

The Role:

  • We are seeking applications from energetic and enthusiastic individuals to join our dedicated team for the position of nurse within our service for adults with Intellectual Disabilities.
  • Candidates must be professional, highly motivated, creative and passionate about working in Intellectual Disability Services.
  • Candidates must be self-driven, focused and strong team players.
  • The role of Nurse is to provide holistic, person-centred nursing care, promoting optimum independence, enhancing the quality of life for the people we support with intellectual, physical or sensory disabilities in all aspects of daily living.
  • S/he must practice in accordance with the Code of Professional Conduct as set out by the Nursing Board (An Bórd Altranais agus Cnáimhseachais na hÉireann) and within the policies, guidelines, protocols of the Association.

Essential Criteria:

  • Qualified General/Intellectual Disability/Mental Health Nurse and be registered with the NMBI.
  • Experience of working in a care delivery capacity within a disability service.
  • Experience of liaising with statutory and other voluntary agencies.
  • A full drivers licence with access to a car insured for business purposes and must be willing to drive Association vehicles.
