Experienced? Passionate? Professional? Then we want to hear from you.
Spina Bifida Hydrocephalus Ireland (SBHI) is looking for a full-time Family Support Worker to commence from January 2021. This is a varied role, offering support to everyone affected by spina bifida and hydrocephalus in Waterford, Wexford, South Tipperary, Carlow, and Kilkenny.
The position is offered on a full-time basis (35 hrs p/week) working from a remote office based in the relevant geographical area. With relevant vocational skills and professional qualifications, you will seek to meet the needs of the individuals living with these conditions and those connected to them, including families, carers, friends, and professionals.
This is a challenging role in a charity setting, demands on your capabilities will be tested and we require someone who thrives on overcoming tough situations with initiative and high levels of self-motivation. You will be fully supported by a hands-on CEO, the Family Support Team Manager as well as the wider team of six other Family Support Workers, and your SBHI colleagues who combine to facilitate life-changing work on behalf of everyone affected.
You will need your own car, a clean driving licence, and business insurance cover in order to fulfil this position. Mileage costs are reimbursed for all work-related travel expenses subject to available budget for this purpose.
