Post: Deputy Centre Manager

Contract: Permanent, Full-Time (39 hrs per week)
Location: Listowel Day Service

The Role:

  • This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and passionate Health/Nursing or Social Care professional or equivalent.
  • Your role will be to assist in the leadership, management and development of services supporting adults with an Intellectual Disability.
  • You will work directly with the Centre Manager to organise and control the resources allocated for the successful implementation of the Association’s policies and the day to day management of the Listowel Day Service.

Essential Criteria:

  • A relevant recognised Health/Nursing or Social Care qualification or equivalent.
  • At least 3 years’ relevant experience in an operational management capacity, which must include the supervision of staff and volunteers.
  • A management qualification is desirable.
  • A full drivers licence with access to a car insured for business purposes and must be willing to drive Association vehicles.

Contract: Permanent, Part-Time (38.5 hrs per week)
Location: Rathmore Residential Service

Rosters include day/night and weekend duty

The Role:

  • We are seeking applications from energetic and enthusiastic individuals to join our dedicated team for the position of nurse within our service for adults with Intellectual Disabilities.
  • Candidates must be professional, highly motivated, creative and passionate about working in Intellectual Disability Services.
  • Candidates must be self-driven, focused and strong team players.
  • The role of Nurse is to provide holistic, person-centred nursing care, promoting optimum independence, enhancing the quality of life for the people we support with intellectual, physical or sensory disabilities in all aspects of daily living.
  • S/he must practice in accordance with the Code of Professional Conduct as set out by the Nursing Board (An Bórd Altranais agus Cnáimhseachais na hÉireann) and within the policies, guidelines, protocols of the Association.

Essential Criteria:

  • Qualified General/Intellectual Disability/Mental Health Nurse and be registered with the NMBI.
  • Experience of working in a care delivery capacity within a disability service.
  • Experience of liaising with statutory and other voluntary agencies.
  • A full drivers licence with access to a car insured for business purposes and must be willing to drive Association vehicles.

Post: Support Worker x 2

Contract: Permanent, Part-Time (21 hours per week)
Location: Rathmore Residential Service

Rosters include day/night and weekend duty

The Role:

  • The core activities for the post of Support Worker will include planning and setting goals with the person to assist them in meeting their personal, social, recreational, academic, independent living, community integration, training and supported employment needs.
  • As a Support Worker you will enable the people we support realise their goals and achieve their identified priorities. You will also provide support and act as an advocate for participation and inclusion in the community on behalf of the person we support.
  • The Support Worker operates within the framework of a person centred approach and to actively engage with and promote co-operation and partnership with other services, both internally and externally and in particular with families.

Essential Criteria:

  • QQI Level 5 in Healthcare Support. Equivalent qualifications to Healthcare support will be considered, with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience working with Adults with an Intellectual Disability.
  • Experience of working in a care delivery capacity, preferably within a disability service.
  • A full drivers licence with access to a car insured for business purposes and must be willing to drive Association vehicles.
