NWC is recruiting for a Care Officer

The National Women’s Council is the leading national representative organisation for women and women’s groups in Ireland, founded in 1973. We have over 200-member groups and a large and growing community of individual supporters. Our purpose is to lead action for the achievement of women’s and girls’ equality through mobilising, influencing, and building solidarity.

This is an exciting time for NWC. Change is happening for women in Ireland, and we would like you to be part of that. If you are passionate about feminism and women’s equality and think you can help us build an inclusive and intersectional, feminist model of care, we want you!

All staff must work from the office on Tuesday and Wednesday, but this could be more days depending on role requirements. This post is a four-day week (28 hours) position for an initial 1-year contract.

The main aim and purpose of the Care Officer post is to develop and deliver NWC’s policy, research and public engagement work to ensure care and care work is valued in society, in line with our Strategic Plan 2021-2024: No Woman Left Behind.
