Cherry Orchard Equine Centre: Youth Worker & Youth Justice Worker (Temporary)

YOUTH WORKER & YOUTH JUSTICE WORKER

(3 temporary positions – including both full time and part time roles)

We have a number of temporary full-time and temporary part-time roles we wish to fill at present in our Youth Service and Youth Diversion Project.

We are inviting applications from suitably qualified / experienced professionals to join our team in either our Youth Service and/or our Youth Diversion Project – CODY based in Cherry Orchard, Dublin 10.

Cherry Orchard Equine Centre CLG. operates a number of services supporting young people and their families living in Cherry Orchard Dublin 10. We also operate a community equestrian centre providing a range of riding and therapeutic programmes.

Summary of duties

• Deliver the actions and goals set out in the organisation’s strategic and operational plans
• Work with colleagues to design and deliver programmes, initiatives and interventions in consultation with management, funders and the board
• Engage young people in youth work programmes
• Develop integrated initiatives with local organisations and local schools
• Work closely with all services within Cherry Orchard Equine Centre to ensure wrap around supports for young people engaged
• Ensure the health and safety of all young people within the service
• Support in the recording of programme activities
• Adhere to all company and statutory policies, procedures and best practice

Requirements

• A third level qualification (Degree level or equivalent) in social work, social care, youth work/community work, education or related discipline is required
• Three years’ experience of working with vulnerable and at-risk young people is desirable
• A good understanding of issues affecting marginalised young people is required
• A full clean driving licence is desirable (not essential)
