Ballymun Regional Youth Resource (BRYR) is a professional youth work organisation working for the welfare, development & well-being of al 10-24 year old young people in the community of Ballymun, north Dublin.

We are recruiting for the following roles: 

  1. Youth Worker, Full-time, Permanent Contract
  2. Youth Worker, Full-time, Fixed Term Contract

Youth Worker: Required Qualifications & Experience:

An *NSETS professionally recognised endorsed qualification in Youth Work or Youth and Community Work.

Or

Education to National Diploma or Degree standard (note: candidates with exceptional, relevant work experience may also be considered in lieu of degree qualifications)

And

A minimum of 2 years relevant work experience.

Key Tasks

  • To empower young people to achieve their full potential in life
  • To meet the needs of young people through youth work methodologies
  • To plan, deliver and facilitate non-formal educational and personal development programmes
  • To engage in regular detached Youth Work
  • The Youth Worker will have shared responsibility for connecting young people into the service
  • To work with identified young people experiencing significant trauma and complexity including health, social, emotional and behavioural difficulties and/or at risk of social exclusion
  • To assist young people attending BRYR participate fully in their programme in order to achieve their full potential
  • To manage a key working /care-planning caseload in order to meet the young person’s needs
  • Keep project records and provide updates and reports as requested, attend regular meetings
  • To ensure at all times that the values and ethos of BRYR are respected and maintained
  • To undertake other appropriate and relevant tasks as directed by the Project Leader.

Salary scales with commensurate with CDYSB pay scales.
