Fixed term contract – 37 hours per week, ending 31st December 2022.
Poppintree Youth Project is an independent, community-managed youth project, which supports the personal, interpersonal and social development of young people within the Poppintree area of Ballymun. We invite applicants to apply for the following posts
Youth Employability Worker X 2
This Youth Employability Role aims to support young people aged 15 to 24 years who are out of education / training / employment or who are in education, but the fit is not working for them, and they are experiencing difficulties.
The role will involve identifying, engaging & mentoring young people through the transition phases of their lives; it will support young people to develop the skills they need, through the provision of an individualised response to progress into employment or further education/training and to support them to remain in the course/job.
The role involves a multidisciplinary approach that will draw on the pre-existing internal resources of the Poppintree Youth Project as well as the extended resources and support within the young person’s community.
- An * NSETS recognised professionally endorsed qualification in Youth Work or Youth and Community Work
- Have worked with young people for two years full time in a youth work setting and have an equivalent professional Degree level qualification within the Education/Social Science/Youth Work or Community Work field.
Salary: CDYSB Youth Worker scale applies. €31,511 to €48,275 pro rata. Depending on experience
