Dundalk CTC is a voluntary organisation and a leading provider of youth training programmes to young people from Dundalk and the surrounding areas. Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons for the post of:


(22 hours per week)

Dundalk CTC provides vocational training and education programmes to meet the needs of young people aged 16 – 21 from the local area who have left mainstream school early. Programmes have been developed to enhance each learner’s potential to learn new skills and achieve relevant certification necessary for progression into employment, further training or continued education. This provision is supported by LMETB and co-funded by the Government of Ireland and the European Social Fund. The Centre also links with other service providers to increase the choices available to young people and enable them to make decisions based on the local availability of a range of options.

The Role

Contract: Fixed term – 22 Hours per week over 4 days
Reporting to: Manager of Dundalk CTC
Salary Scale: €21,382 to €39,496 (Pro Rata) including two long service increments
Location: Dundalk CTC Mulholland Avenue, Dundalk Co Louth

Qualifications and Experience

  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Experience in Manual and Computerised Payroll (QQI Level 6 Minimum)
  • Minimum 3 years proven track record in office organisation and administration
  • Experience of working in the education sector
  • IT proficient and experience in Office365
  • Proven ability in maintaining records in an organised and efficient manner

Applicants should be able to demonstrate the ability to:

  • Operate and maintain financial and operational systems for the Centre
  • Support for the maintenance and operation of management information systems and website.
  • Provide administrative support to the Board, Manager and staff
  • Work with the Manager and other staff to develop and implement trainee recruitment, assessment and monitoring procedures
  • Be responsible for the efficient organisation of office procedures, including ordering of stationery, maintenance of office equipment etc
  • General reception duties, dealing with queries
  • Support the preparation of annual and strategic plans and reviews

The salary scale associated with the post is (Pro Rata) €21,382 to €39,496 which includes two long service increments. Dundalk CTC offers an excellent package including contributory pension, leave and training opportunities for the successful candidate.
