We offer high quality childcare that supports working parents who require flexible care and educational services that meet their needs from 7:30am until 6:30pm, 51 weeks per year.

  • To assist the child to integrate as fully as possible into pre-school life.
  • Duties will be tailored to the needs of the assigned child/children.

Requirements of AIM Support Educator:

  • Candidates must hold a minimum of Fetac Level 5 (or recognised equivalent) in a childcare qualification and must have relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Candidates must have a minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role.

Room Leader

We are looking for a Deputy Manager to join our team of dedicated childcare professionals in the following locations;

  • Tigers Childcare, Blanchardstown, Dublin 15 (maternity position) • 40 hours per week,

Job Role: To be the Deputy Manager and senior member of the childcare team working. Combining the practitioner role with the management role and to take responsibility for ensuring high quality and best practice standards are maintained at the service. To work in close co-operation with the Manager and staff team

Overall Duties: This is not a definitive list and the duties will be discussed in further detail at the interview stage. Generally, duties include:

  • To report to the Manager
  • To act as Designated Person in charge in the absence of the Manager
  • Be responsible, in consultation with the Manager for recruitment, management, training, motivation and performance of all staff.
  • Ensure a dynamic emergent curriculum is delivered to meet the individual needs of children attending
  • Monitor and ensure that all agreed quality and safety standards are maintained always
  • Monitor day-to-day financial transactions
  • Monitor all child protection issues; parents’ issues; complaints, near-misses, incidents and accidents to ensure that any necessary remedial action is taken immediately. Ensure all issues and actions are recorded. Report Child Protection concerns to the Tulsa Social Work Team using the Children First Guidelines
  • Support the Manager to develop the service to its full potential ensuring that all opportunities in sourcing additional funding are enabled and applications completed in a timely manner.
  • Keep up to date on matters relating to early childhood care and education generally, i.e. media/emails, networking etc.
  • Establish, develop, and maintain professional working relationships with all external agencies, including TUSLA and the Early Intervention Team
  • Review and monitor occupancy levels, to ensure they are maintained to maximum capacity levels in line with service ethos and objectives and to ensure financial sustainability.

Candidate requirements: Candidates who do not meet the requirements listed below will not be considered.

  • Candidates must hold a minimum of Fetac Level 6 (or recognised equivalent) in a childcare qualification.
  • Candidates must have a minimum of 1 years’ experience in a supervisory or managerial role, preferably within a full day care service.
  • Candidates with LINC qualification preferred.

QUALITY MANAGER;

All Locations

Job Role:

As Quality Manager you are responsible for ensuring the quality of our services is kept at the highest possible standard by carrying out internal audit checks on our Early Years, Pre-School and After School childcare services.

You are responsible for mentoring recent Level 8 graduates and identifying any training needs specific to their continued learning and development at Tigers Childcare.

In addition, you are responsible for identifying the training needs of our team of colleagues as a whole.

You will report to the Managing Director, Operations.

Main challenges of this role are ensuring the delivery of high-quality childcare and education at each service, providing professional leadership and support to your colleagues at Tigers Childcare, whilst promoting positive relationships with children, parents and other colleagues, including external parties.

The candidate will travel between our services in Dublin and Ashbourne to carry out their audit inspections and provide mentoring/support.

Responsibilities and Duties

Your duties as Quality Manager will include, but not be limited to:

  • Supporting and mentoring our team of educators in the development of enriched learning environments
  • Supporting and mentoring recent Level 8 graduates in conjunction with their line managers.
  • Identifying training needs of our educators and working with our office team t develop a training programme.
  • Monitoring curriculum planning and developing training where necessary, ensuring each service has in place the highest standard curricula in line with Tigers’ ethos, Aistear, Síolta and any regulatory requirements.
  • Preparing for Tusla, DES & EHO inspections.
  • Developing action plans as required.
  • Carrying out internal audits, ensuring Tigers Childcare continues to meet regulatory requirements together with our own internal policy & procedures.
  • Working with our office team to ensure that Tigers’ policy documentation is up to date and implement changes as necessary.
  • Working with our office team to implement any changes in procedures.
  • To attend out of working hours’ activities, to include training, staff meetings, parents’ evenings and special events as required.

Experience Required

  • Minimum of 3 years post qualification experience working in an early years setting, preferably in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge and understanding of inclusive early childhood education and care.
  • Understanding and experience of ITERS, ECERS and ACERS rating scales.
  • Understanding and experience of social inclusion and disability issues.
  • Strong organisational skills.
  • Ability to provide mentoring and coaching services.
  • Proficient in MS packages e.g. Word, Excel, together with knowledge of G Suite.

Qualifications Required

  • Minimum third level qualification at Level 8 (or equivalent) on the National Framework of Qualifications in Early Childhood Education and Care
  • Drivers Licence with suitable means of transport.
