The Daughters of Charity Community Services (DoCCS), located at 9 Henrietta Street, Dublin 1, provides a range of educational, training and social care services for adults, youth and children in the North Inner City.

We are recruiting for various positions in our Early Years’ Service:

  1. Early Years Childcare Practitioner – Full time (33 hours) – Fixed Term to end of 2021
  2. Early Years Childcare Practitioner - Relief Staff (On needs basis)
  3. AIM Support Worker- x3 Part time (15 hours) - Fixed term to end of July 2022. Immediate start required.

Early Years Childcare Practitioner – Full time (33 hours)

Required Skills and Competencies:

Essential

  • A relevant third level qualification in the field of Early Childhood Care & Education (a minimum QQI Level 6 or relevant equivalent is required)
  • A passion for working with young children and their families
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Strong organisational skills, with an ability to manage multiple work tasks and a busy environment

Advantage

  • Minimum of 3 years experience working in an Early Years setting: experience of working in a community-based Early Years’ Service would be a distinct advantage
  • Experience and training in Síolta & Aistear

Salary: €21,358 – €35,919 – pro rata

Relief Early Years’ Practitioners – Various Hours

Early Years Childcare Practitioner - Relief Staff (On needs basis)

Working hours: Hours will vary based on the needs present in the service. Relief staff can refuse work if unavailable which will not affect their position on the relief panel
Hourly rate- €13 per hour

AIM Support Workers x 3- part time (15 hours)

Experience

  • Experience of working with children for a minimum of one year (work experience means paid employment, not training courses/student placements). Relevant voluntary work may be considered.
  • Experience of AIM support role is desired by not necessary.

Qualification

  • Recognised qualification (min FETAC Level 5 on the QQ1) that is approved under the Early Years (Preschool) Regulations.

This is a part-time position. The hours are 09.00 to 12.00, Monday to Friday, for the remainder of our ECCE term September 2021 to end of July 2022.

Hourly rate- €13 per hour
